Raw hummus

Red pepper
Zucchini

For some time I have lived in Haifa, Israel.
A bit of a drowsy place lacking the charm of Tel Aviv, which is balanced by a very long and wonderful beach.
There you can also find a small restaurant specialised in hummus (they almost serve only that…) which has become some kind of a veritable institution in the whole country.
Facing a very busy street, sitting at the small tables at Abu Sheker’s, you’ll see Hebrew and Arab Israeli citizens next to the other: all happy and pleased to eat what many consider the best hummus in the whole Israel.
This is my very humble raw-homage to Abu Shaker’s:

1 courgette, peeled and cut into pieces
½ cup red pepper
½ cup tahini
½ cup sesame seeds
¼ cup + 1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
½ garlic clove
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cumin seeds

Blend everything very well.
Serve with  your favorite vegetables.
