french fries & ketchup

All raw!


The turnip is low in calories and full of vitamin C, beta-carotene and folic acid.
Turmeric has so many properties and it’s a constant presence in Ayurvedic medicine: a natural anti-inflammatory, it helps to detox the liver.
This recipe allows to keep all the properties of turmeric cause everything stays far away from the stove!
The result is not a typical  french fries serving, but a crispy, tasty and light snack.

French Fries, 1 serving:

1 medium size turnip
tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
½ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon salt

Peel the turnip and cut it into sticks.
Mix  well with oil, turmeric and salt.
Serve with this ketchup:

1 ½ cup tomatoes without seeds, cut into little pieces
½ cup dry tomatoes (soaked for half an hour and squeezed)
2 pitted dates
tablespoon apple vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon grated ginger
½ teaspoon sweet paprika
a pinch of mustard powder

Blend all the ingredients.
